Atholl Anderson is Professor of Prehistory, Department of Archaeology and Natural History, Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, The Australian National University. After completing his Doctoral research concerning subpolar Scandinavia, he subsequently focused on the Pacific and his homeland of New Zealand, and has published widely in this area. He is currently directing a major program on Initial Colonisation of the Indo-Pacific Region.
