John Biggs
John Biggs was born in Tasmania in 1934, where he was educated. He then moved to England to undertake postgraduate study in psychology. He has written extensively in the area of education – having authored or co-authored eleven books, edited six others, and published over one hundred articles and book chapters – and has held academic appointments
in Canada, Australia and Hong Kong. He retired early in order to dedicate himself to full – time fiction writing,
and now oscillates between Hong Kong and Hobart, intent on a career of creating more exciting worlds and
people than can be found in (most) universities. To date, seven short stories written by John have been
published, with some receiving awards in national competitions.
The Girl in the Golden House is his first novel.
