Donald Denoon

Donald Denoon taught History at the University of Papua New Guinea during the optimistic 1970s. As Professor of Pacific Island History at the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, The Australian National University, he now writes about Australia's recent involvement in Melanesian states, societies and economies. He shared Monica Wehner's interest and fascination in the unique quality of the tales of the returning peace monitors.
